Happy Birthday Gloria Lane
Gloria Lane (born October 6, 1932) is the founder of the Women’s International Center (WIC) which is known for acknowledging, honoring and encouraging women. Their vision is “Thinking globally, acting locally, nationally and worldwide.”
WIC will be celebrating their 25th Living Legacy Awards this coming Saturday, October 11, 2008 when they honor Carol Channing and others. The 2008 Living Legacy Awards are dedicated to Lady Bird Johnson (1912 – 2007) and Eleanor Roosevelt (1884 – 1962) and will include a special tribute to Benazir Bhutto (1953 – 2007).
